Jacquard Loom
Invented by Joseph-Marie Jacquard in 1804, used punched cards to control individual warp threads, enabling the creation of intricate patterns in fabrics like tapestry and damask, and also inspired early computing concepts.
Sewing Machine
A machine with a mechanically driven needle for sewing or stitching cloth.
Spinning Jenny
A machine for spinning with more than one spindle at a time, patented by James Hargreaves in 1770.
